Fluster Tunnel: This piece highlights the imperfections of focus and how easily distraction can sneak in; but also how distraction can sometimes lead to inspiration. The black and white geometric pattern on its own is simple and somewhat interesting to look at, but every now and then distortions occur which trigger the RGB Delay, making a beautiful and hypnotic rainbow cascade. The patterns also come to a halt and freeze at points to show how easily our focus can be fully disrupted. We slowly zoom into the tunnel and the piece ends with a much simpler square pattern to highlight how the simplest ideas are often the best.
Refractor: Another perspective focused piece, Refractor shows how interesting simple patterns and shapes can be wildly changed when looked at through glass. Using GLSL to simulate light refraction, the undulating background appears to bend and blur into lovely calming worlds when refracted, highlighting how beautiful and different ideas can become when you get outside perspectives. Collaboration brings about new variants that can turn the original concept into something even more incredible.
